Roz manages ADAKAI’s portfolio of investments and is deeply involved in the due diligence activities for new investment opportunities. Her roots come from agriculture, with a career beginning in the early ‘90s with the Foreign Service, as a commodities specialist for the government. She moved into the private sector, as VP of Business Development for an international, vertically integrated cotton company that financed growers, ginned, extracted cottonseed oil for Frito Lay and Japanese consumers, and traded cotton.
Her desire to remain in Phoenix was stronger than her ties to cotton and she began focusing on the growing real estate and construction industry. Since 1998, Roz has successfully scaled several operating companies in the building materials, construction and facilities solutions markets, including being the founder of ProKure1, ADAKAI’s first product commercialization project.
Roz’s diverse background in farming, processing, milling, distribution and business scaling has created an opportunity to be a part of a growing cannabis industry where she can support young businesses with passionate owners and a great concept in building trusted and enduring companies in an ever-changing landscape.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Allegheny College and a Masters of Business Administration from Kent State University. She and her husband reside in Phoenix, enjoy hiking and fly-fishing and cheer on her native pro football team, the Pittsburgh Steeler every Sunday in the fall.

He has built and leased multiple industrial buildings, restaurants, and office buildings throughout Arizona. Mike is also a principal in numerous strategic commercial developments throughout the valley.

As Head of Marketing, AJ is responsible for overseeing the development, health and strategic reach of all brands within the Adakai portfolio.
As a transplant from Portland, Oregon he attended Arizona State University—earning degree’s in Business Marketing, Philosophy and Theoretical Physics. His passions led him to pursue a career in advertising, where he's led marketing efforts across a multitude of industries—from photovoltaic energy sourcing to locally grown fruit, and (almost) everything in between.
In advertising, like any type of communication, AJ gravitated towards work that seemed to inspire purpose and fulfillment. After years of experience with his passion industries of craft alcohol, philanthropy, health/recovery, travel/tourism and lifestyle, his career came to a pause due to several medical scares amongst his friends and family. After seeing the recovery value of cannabis for his loved ones and their support groups, he began to see a fuller story of medicine that could bring more aid to the world if told correctly and directly.
When he’s not on the clock, AJ can be found with his wife Caroline and English bulldog Lola. He is a multi-instrumentalist, published author, craft beer nerd, world traveler, reader and foodie. AJ is also a sub-par golfer (read that how you will), concert goer and avid supporter of the growth and development of Arizona’s economy and culture.
